QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any damage or irregularities in the set. Each drum component is subject to meticulous inspection upon unpacking and is checked with a discerning eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product, all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than screws turning smoothly into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual elements of the set receive an individual sticker with serial number, date and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is discovered, the shell is made anew.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The shells of the Maple series are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced midrange and treble tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells is achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as focus on shell construction and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° bevel on the edges means they make contact with the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been polished and additionally waxed, ensuring ideal head-to-shell contact. The consequence of this solution is clear tone across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finish on tom contact points provides fast attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and unconventional tone. The lacquer used to finish the Maple series drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug housing "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each contains a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each lug has double security in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome-plated hardware

In Polmuz drums all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of the highest quality materials used and breaks away from the notorious reputation of the brand from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made of solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz lettering is a guarantee and calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.

Mounting system

A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined construction makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, aluminum parts provide reduced weight.

Bass drum spurs

The spurs on Polmuz sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this configuration, the spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

Transparent, 1-ply high-quality struck heads are used on the drums.

The batter heads additionally feature a wide dampening collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand manufacturing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion effects and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 90s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, a team from the specialist drum shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz represents high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that rival the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions has allowed Polmuz to storm not only the Polish drum market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
