QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, meaning there can be no question of any defect or irregularity in the set. Every element of the drum kit is subjected to meticulous inspection after unpacking and checked with a keen, trained eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product, all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge evokes joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of sliding your hand across the edge before installing a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual kit elements receive a custom sticker with a serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is found, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test successfully, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced mid and high tones ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells are achieved through the use of carefully selected maple plies and a focus on shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° bevel on the edges means they contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been polished and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The consequence of this solution is clean sound across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on toms deliver fast attack and short decay, while the rounded edge on kick drums generates unique warm vintage sound.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and unconventional sound. The lacquer used on the finish of Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire kit to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each has a long bolt that sits deeply in the lug. Additionally, each is secured with double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

All hardware in Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and signature of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.

Mounting system

A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easier to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight.

Kick drum claws

The claws in Polmuz sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, the claws and rims form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

Transparent, 1-ply high-quality head stock is used on the drums.

The heads on kick drums additionally have a wide muffling collar.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at Grochowska 75/77 Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion instruments and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, and then completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a high-quality drum set and ethnic instruments that are no different from the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions meant that Polmuz is storming not only the Polish percussion market but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
