QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM
Like the highest series of leading manufacturers, Polmuz is treated individually, meaning there can be no compromise or irregularities in the set. Each percussion element is subjected to meticulous inspection upon unpacking and checked with a discerning eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product - all drum shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to provide an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing a new head - not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than screws turning smoothly into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set elements receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is remade.
Features
Shells 100% Maple
The snare drum shells from the Maple series are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high frequencies provide great versatility across many musical styles. The specific nature of the wood gives the drums a characteristic sound that you won't experience in any other drums. The focused and pure sound of the shells was achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as attention to shell forming and edge shaping.
Edges
A 45° edge cut ensures optimal contact with the head. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been carefully polished and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The consequence of this solution is clean sound across the full frequency range. The rounded edge in Polmuz snares generates a fast attack, balanced resonance, and above all - a unique, slightly vintage sound.

Finish
The lacquered finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive sound. The lacquer used on Polmuz Maple drums is of the highest quality. A gorgeous, matte, clear lacquer will impress even the most discerning tastes. To highlight the uniqueness of this model, a decorative stripe has been applied around its entire circumference using the inlay method. The composition and method of applying the lacquer corresponds to those used in top-tier sets from recognized brands.
Tube Lug
Tube Lug hardware is characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire assembly to resonate across the full sound spectrum. To minimize the risk of drum detuning, each lug features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each lug has dual protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.
Chrome hardware
In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and trademark of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.
Snare Strainer
Polmuz snare drums are equipped with a smooth-acting snare strainer. The ability to adjust spring tension allows you to customize the sound depending on the situation.
Heads and Springs
Polmuz snare drums feature high-quality coated, single-ply batter heads bearing the Polmuz branding. The springs used in Polmuz snares are proven components with 20 coils that work perfectly with virtually any resonant head. They generate the characteristic snare sound, free of unnecessary artifacts. The distinctive red spring stripe is enhanced with a traditional white Polmuz logo.

About the Brand
Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, with its factory located at Grochowska 75/77 in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced noise makers and wind instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 1990s, after which the brand completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialized percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.
Today Polmuz offers high-quality percussion sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products on the market. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
