Polmuz Maple Snare 13x6,5 Satin Amber wood Inlay Stripe centered

The revived Polmuz snares bear no resemblance to their predecessors from the last century. Today Polmuz is above all bold design combined with proven and solid technologies, known from the products of the best brands.

The Polmuz Maple snare shell offers complete freedom in shaping the sound, excelling in every music genre. The minimalist, old-school look of Polmuz snares pays homage to the brand's history and gives them a vintage character.

Groundbreaking, unconventional designs, high quality craftsmanship and convincing sound mean that today the Polmuz tradition is beginning anew!

QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series from leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the set. Each drum component is carefully inspected upon unpacking and checked with a keen eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product. All shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing new heads, not to mention the ease of drum tuning and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual components of the set receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. In case of any defect or irregularity, the shell is manufactured anew.

Features

100% maple shells

The snare shells from the Maple series are made from 6 plies of maple, with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mids and highs provide great versatility across many musical styles. The wood's character gives the drums a distinctive sound that you won't experience in any other drums. The focused and clear sound of the shells was achieved through the use of carefully selected maple plies, as well as attention to shell formation and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° bevel on the edges means they meet the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect contact between the head and shell. The result is clean tone across the full frequency range. The rounded edge on Polmuz snares generates fast attack, balanced resonance, and above all - a unique, subtly vintage sound.

Finish

The lacquered finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used on Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. The gorgeous, matte, clear lacquer will delight even the most discerning tastes. To highlight the uniqueness of this model, a decorative stripe has been applied around its entire circumference using the inlay method. The composition and application method of the lacquer corresponds to those used in top-tier sets from renowned brands.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of the drums going out of tune, each lug features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each lug has dual securing with washers - metal and nylon - that guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome-plated hardware

On Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of the highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.

Snare Mechanism

Polmuz snares are equipped with a smoothly operating snare mechanism. The ability to adjust spring tension allows you to customize the sound depending on the situation.

Heads and Springs

The drums feature coated, 1-ply batter heads of high quality bearing the Polmuz branding. The springs used in Polmuz snares are proven components with 20 coils that work perfectly with virtually any resonant head. Thanks to them, the snare generates a characteristic sound, free from unnecessary overtones. The distinctive red spring strip has been enhanced with the traditional white Polmuz logo.

About the Brand

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced tambourines and brass instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by purchasing the complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a high-quality percussion set and ethnic instruments line that stands on par with the best competing products. Bold design combined with proven solutions has allowed Polmuz to rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
