Quality and Professionalism
Polmuz, like the highest series from leading manufacturers, is treated individually. This means there can be no compromise or irregularities in the drum set. Every percussion element is carefully inspected upon unpacking and checked with meticulous care. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product. All shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to provide an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing new heads—not to mention the ease of tuning and the perfect tone of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked, as there's nothing more satisfying than smoothly threading screws into perfectly fitted lugs. After such rigorous quality control, each element of the set receives an individual label with a serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If any defects or irregularities are detected, the shell is rebuilt.
Features
Maple Shells
The snare drum shells from the Maple series are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced mid and high tones ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The wood's characteristics give the drums a distinctive tone you won't experience in any other snare drums. The focused and clear sound of the shells is achieved through carefully selected layers of maple, as well as attention to shell forming and edge shaping.
Edges
The 45-degree edge cut allows them to contact the head at the optimal point. Every edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is a clear tone across the full frequency range. The rounded edge on Polmuz snares generates fast attack, balanced resonance, and above all—a unique, slightly vintage-sounding tone.

Finish
The lacquered finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive tone. The lacquer used on Polmuz Maple drums is of the highest quality. The gorgeous, matte, colorless lacquer will impress even the most discerning tastes. To highlight the uniqueness of this model, a decorative stripe has been applied around its entire circumference using the inlay method. The lacquer composition and application method correspond to those used in top-tier sets from renowned brands.
Tube Lug
Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full sound range. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each uses a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each has double protection in the form of washers—metal and nylon—which guarantee tuning stability.
Chrome Hardware
All hardware on Polmuz drums features a chrome finish. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials and breaks away from the brand's questionable reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and trademark of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.
Strainer
Polmuz snares are equipped with a smooth-operating strainer. The ability to adjust spring tension allows you to dial in the sound depending on the situation.
Heads and Springs
The drums feature coated, 1-ply batter heads of high quality under the Polmuz brand. The springs used in Polmuz snares are proven components with 20 coils that work perfectly with virtually any resonant head. Thanks to them, the snare generates a characteristic tone, free from unwanted overtones. The distinctive red spring stripe is enhanced with the traditional white Polmuz logo.

About the Brand
Polmuz - a legendary brand that produced Poland's first drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, with its factory located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion accessories and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team from the specialized percussion shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by purchasing the complete rights to its name.
Today, Polmuz produces high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are every bit as good as the best products from competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions has allowed Polmuz to storm not only the Polish percussion market but also capture the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
