Features

100% walnut shells

Snare drum shells in the Walnut series are made from 7 plies of walnut with a total thickness of 7,5 mm. Sound was the top priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced mids and highs provide great versatility across many music styles. A full, low sound while maintaining a focused, clean tone was achieved through the use of carefully selected walnut plies, along with attention to shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

Cutting the edges at a 45° angle makes them contact the drumhead at the optimal point. Every edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, thereby ensuring perfect contact between the drumhead and the shell. The result of this solution is a clean sound across the full frequency range. The roundededgeinPolmuz snare drums generates a fast attack, balanced resonance, and above all - a unique, slightly vintage sound.

Finish

The lacquered finish on Polmuz drums gives every kit a unique look and a distinctive sound. The lacquer used on the finish of Walnut drums by Polmuz is of the highest quality. The stunning, transparent red lacquer will delight even the most discerning tastes. To emphasize the exclusivity of this model, a decorative stripe was applied around its entire circumference using the intarsia method. The composition and application method of the lacquer match those used in top-tier kits from renowned brands.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional lugs, but the lug body "floats" above the shell, so as to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the whole drum to resonate across its full range of sound. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each one has a long screw that seats deep into the lug. In addition, each lug has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

On Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful look gives a sense of the highest quality of materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a genuine statement of quality and style. Made of solid brass, the chrome-plated lettering Polmuz is both a guarantee and a hallmark of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Strainer

Polmuz snare drums are equipped with a smoothly operating strainer. The ability to adjust snare wire tension allows the sound to be tailored to the situation.

Drumheads and snare wires

The drums feature coated,single-ply batter heads of high quality under Polmuz branding. The snare wires used in Polmuz snare drums are proven 20-strand elements that work perfectly with almost any resonant head. Thanks to them, the snare drum produces a characteristic sound, free of unwanted overtones. The distinctive red snare wire strap features the traditional white Polmuz logo.
