Each percussion element is subjected to meticulous inspection upon unpacking and checked with a keen, expert eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product - all drum shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to achieve an even greater sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set elements receive an individual label with a serial number, date and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is remade.

Features

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" over the drum shell, so as to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the whole drum to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drum detuning, each features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Moreover, each has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome-plated hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of the highest quality of materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz drum shells is a true declaration of quality and style. About the brand

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced snares and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by acquiring full rights to its name.

Today, Polmuz produces high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
