QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defect or irregularity in the set. Each percussion element is subjected to meticulous inspection upon unpacking and checked with a keen, soldering eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product - all drum shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we know well, a perfectly smooth edge triggers joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect resonance of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such solid quality control, individual components of the set receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is manufactured anew.

Features

Tube Lug

Tube Lug style lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug body "floats" above the drum shell, so as to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the whole thing to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each has a long screw that is seated deep in the lug. Additionally, each has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome plated hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of the highest quality of materials used and breaks with the disreputable reputation of the brand from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome plated, the Polmuz lettering is a guarantee and a hallmark of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.

About the brand

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, a team from the specialist drum shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a range of high-quality percussion sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best competing products. Bold design combined with proven solutions have made Polmuz storm not only the Polish percussion market, but also win the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
