QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM
Polmuz, like the top series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the set. Each percussion element after unpacking is subjected to thorough inspections and checked with a discerning, craftsman's eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product - all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge releases joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there's nothing more pleasant than screws turning smoothly into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual elements of the set receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. In case a defect or irregularity is found, the shell is made again.
WARRANTY
Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test positively, receives a lifetime warranty and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES
100% maple shells
The shells of the Maple series are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority when designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced midrange and high tones ensure great versatility in many music styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers and a focus on shell forming and edge shape.
Edges
The 45° edge bevel means they contact the head at the optimal point on a flat surface, making tuning incredibly simple.
Many modern companies bevel the edge so that it contacts the head on the head's curve. This makes tuning very difficult, especially on so-called "rag" tuning
Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect contact between the head and shell. The consequence of this solution is a clean sound across the full frequency range. Sharp finish on the contact edge provides quick attack, selective and distinctive resonance.

Finish
The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used on the Maple series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.
Tube Lug
Tube Lug style lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the whole thing to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each one has a long screw that sits deep in the lug.
Chrome hardware
In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful look conveys a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's notorious reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass, the chrome-plated Polmuz lettering is a guarantee and showcase of the highest level of craftsmanship of each drum.
Mounting system
A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easier to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made of aluminum ensure less weight.
Center hooks
The hooks in Polmuz set lugs are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, the hooks and rims form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.
Heads
Polmuz hand-selected heads or Remo Encore are used in the drums, Evans available for surcharge.
Membrane TT and FT resonant are thin Polmuz Clear. The reso on the center is an excellent sounding Polmuz fiberskin.
The membranes in the center drums additionally have a wide damping collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Polmuz - legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at Grochowska 75/77 Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion shakers and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, and then completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of a specialist percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by acquiring full rights to its name.
Today Polmuz is a high-quality percussion set and ethnic instruments, in no way inferior to the best products of competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
