Features
100% maple shells
Maple series shells are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones ensure great versatility in many music styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple layers, as well as focusing on shell forming and edge shape.
Edges
Beveling the edges at a 45° angle ensures they contact the membrane at the optimal point on a flat surface, making tuning extremely easy.
Many contemporary companies bevel the edge so that contact with the membrane falls on the head's curve. This makes tuning very difficult, especially on so-called "loose" tuning
Each edge in Polmuz drums has been polished and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect contact of the membrane with the shell. The consequence of this solution is clean tone throughout the full frequency range. Sharp contact edge finishing provides quick attack, selective and distinct sustain.

Finish
The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and unconventional sound. The lacquer used for finishing Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.
Tube Lug
Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire assembly to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each one has a long screw that sits deep in the lug.
Chrome hardware
All hardware in Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance provides a sense of highest quality of materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz lettering is a guarantee and trademark of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.
Mounting system
A mounting system that does not interfere with the shells ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easier to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight.
Center lugs
The lugs in Polmuz set center stands are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, lugs and hoops form one cohesive whole so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tunings.
Heads
Polmuz or Remo Encore beaten heads are used in the drums, Evans possible for a surcharge.
Membranes TT and FT resonant are thin Polmuz Clear. The resonant on the center is an excellent emitting Polmuz fiberskin.
Center membranes additionally have a wide damping collar. Resonant heads, in turn, are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.
Quality and Professionalism
Polmuz, like the highest series from leading manufacturers, is treated individually, meaning there can be no compromise or defect in the drum set. Each percussion element undergoes careful inspection upon unpacking and is checked with a discerning, professional eye. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product - all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to provide an even greater sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and satisfaction during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly threading screws into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual components of the set receive a sticker with a serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming the drum's high quality. Should any defect or irregularity be found, the shell is manufactured anew.
About the Polmuz Brand
Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its facilities were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion accessories and wind instruments. The last drums were manufactured in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team from the specialist percussion shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by acquiring full rights to its name.
Today, Polmuz produces high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products from competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions has allowed Polmuz to rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
