QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM
Polmuz, like the highest series from leading manufacturers, is treated individually. This means there can be no question of any defect or irregularity in the kit. Each percussion element is subjected to meticulous inspection upon unpacking and checked with a keen, experienced eye. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product—all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and they are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge evokes joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before fitting a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect shell tone. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there's nothing more pleasant than screws turning smoothly into perfectly fitted lugs. After such solid quality control, individual kit elements receive a custom sticker with serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is made anew.
WARRANTY
Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test successfully, receives a lifetime warranty, and hardware used in Polmuz drums carries a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES
100% maple shells
The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced midrange and high frequencies provide great versatility across many music styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through carefully selected maple plies, as well as focused attention to shell forming and edge shape.
Edges
A 45° bevel on the edges means they contact the membrane at the optimal point on the flat surface, making tuning incredibly simple.
Many modern companies bevel edges so the membrane contact falls on the curve of the head. This makes tuning very difficult, especially on what's called a "rag."
Every edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring ideal membrane contact with the shell. The result is clean tone across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finishing delivers a quick attack with selective, expressive sustain.

Finish
The matte finish on Polmuz drums gives each kit a unique look and distinctive tone. The lacquer used on Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.
Tube Lug
Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum to minimize contact with the shell. This allows the entire assembly to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each lug features a long screw that sits deep within it. Additionally, each lug has dual protection in the form of metal and nylon washers, guaranteeing tuning stability.
Chromium-plated hardware
All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of the highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and trademark of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.
Mounting system
The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easier to position toms close together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lower weight.
Central hooks
The hooks on Polmuz kit stands are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, hooks and hoops form one coherent unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.
Heads
Evans heads are used on the drums. G2 clear on toms and floors, and EMAD on BD. You can order any Evans heads for your kit.
TT and FT reso membranes are thin Polmuz Clear. The reso on the snare is the excellent Polmuz fiberskin head.
Snare heads additionally feature a wide dampening collar. The reso heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a prominent Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, with facilities located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion mallets and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team at DrumStore, a specialty percussion shop in Gdynia, decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by acquiring full rights to its name.
Today Polmuz represents high-quality percussion kits and ethnic instruments that rival the best products from competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz storm not only the Polish percussion market, but also win the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
