QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Like the top series of leading manufacturers, Polmuz is treated individually, meaning there can be no defects or irregularities in the set. Each drum component undergoes careful inspection upon unpacking and is checked with a discerning eye. We strive for Polmuz to be recognized as a premium product. All shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to provide an even greater sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge triggers joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before mounting a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked, as there's nothing more pleasant than smoothly threading screws into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set components receive a custom sticker with a serial number, date, and handwritten signature confirming the drum's high quality. If a defect or irregularity is found, the shell is manufactured anew.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty, and the hardware used in Polmuz drums comes with a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% maple shells

The Maple series shells are made from 6 plies of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced midrange and high tones ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells are achieved through carefully selected maple plies and focus on shell forming and edge shaping.

Edges

Beveling the edge at a 45° angle ensures contact with the head at the optimal point on the flat surface, making tuning incredibly simple.

Many modern companies bevel the edge so that the head contact falls on the curve of the head. This makes tuning very difficult, especially on so-called "cloth" heads.

Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head contact with the shell. The consequence of this solution is clean sound across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finish provides quick attack, selective and expressive resonance.

Finish

The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive sound. The lacquer used on Maple series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug type lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full sound range. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each lug has a long screw that sits deep within it. Additionally, each lug has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.

Mounting System

The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined construction makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight.

Center Hooks

The hooks in Polmuz set stands are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, hooks and rims form one cohesive unit, preventing them from separating or rattling, even with loose tuning.

Heads

Evans heads are used on the drums. G2 clear on toms and floors, and EMAD on BD. Any Evans heads can be ordered for the set.

Resonant TT and FT membranes are thin Polmuz Clear. The resonant head on the center is an excellent-sounding Polmuz fiberskin.

Center drum heads additionally feature a wide dampening collar. Resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinct Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, and then completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team from the specialized drum shop DrumStore in Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today Polmuz represents high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments, equal to the best products on the market. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz storm not only the Polish drum market, but also capture the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
