FEATURES
100% Tulipwood Shells
The shells of the Tulipwood series are made from 6 plies of American tulipwood, with a total thickness of 6.9 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced midrange and treble frequencies provide great versatility across many musical styles. The specifics of tulipwood impart a characteristic sound to the drums that you won't experience in any other drums. The focused and pure shell sound is achieved through carefully selected tulipwood plies, as well as attention to shell forming and edge shape.

Edges
The 45° beveled edges ensure they contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is a clean sound across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finishing on tom lugs delivers quick attack and short sustain, while rounded edges on bass drum lugs generate a unique, warm vintage tone.
Finish
The lacquered finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive sound. The lacquer used on Polmuz Tulipwood drums is of the highest quality. The stunning blue satin finish paired with natural wooden hoops will delight even the most discerning tastes. The lacquer composition and application method match those used in top-tier sets from respected brands.

Tube Lug
Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design looks like traditional mounting hardware, but the lug housing "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across its full sonic range. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each lug features a long screw that sits deep within it. Additionally, each lug is secured with dual washers—metal and nylon—guaranteeing tuning stability.
Chrome Hardware
All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with a chromium plating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz drums is a true statement of quality and style. Crafted from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and signature of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Mounting System
The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design allows tom positioning closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, aluminum components keep overall weight down.
Bass Drum Spurs
The spurs on Polmuz drum sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this configuration, spurs and hoops form one unified assembly, so they don't separate or rattle even with loose tuning.

Heads
The drums feature coated, single-ply heads of high quality bearing the Polmuz branding.
Bass drum heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads showcase a characteristic vintage-style head with a prominent Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Polmuz - a legendary brand manufacturing Poland's first drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced shakers and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team from the specialist drum shop DrumStore in Gdańsk decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.
Today Polmuz offers high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products from competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions have allowed Polmuz to storm not only the Polish percussion market but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
