Groundbreaking, unconventional designs, high-quality craftsmanship, and convincing sound mean that Polmuz tradition is being reborn!
QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM
Like the highest series of leading manufacturers, Polmuz is treated individually, which means there can be no defects or irregularities in the drum set. Each percussion element is subjected to meticulous inspection upon unboxing and checked with a careful, experienced eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product—all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and they are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we know well, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing new heads, not to mention the ease of tuning and the perfect tone of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly threading screws into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set components receive a label with a serial number, date, and a handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If a defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is remade.

Features
100% Tulipwood Shells
The snare drums from the Tulipwood series are made from 6 plies of American tulipwood with a total thickness of 6.9 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced midrange and treble frequencies ensure great versatility across many musical styles. The specificity of tulipwood gives these drums a distinctive tone you won't find in any other drums. The focused and clear tone of the shells was achieved through the use of carefully selected tulipwood plies, as well as attention to shell formation and edge shape.
Edges
The 45° beveled edges ensure optimal contact with the head. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clean tone across the full frequency range. The rounded edge in Polmuz snares generates fast attack, balanced resonance, and above all—a unique, slightly vintage tone.

Finish
The lacquered finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive tone. The lacquer used on Polmuz Tulipwood drums is of the highest quality. A gorgeous, matte, clear lacquer will delight even the most discerning tastes. To emphasize the uniqueness of this model, a decorative stripe has been applied around its entire circumference using an inlay method. The composition and application method of the lacquer correspond to those used in top sets from renowned brands.
Tube Lug
Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire system to resonate across the full range of tones. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each lug has double security in the form of washers—metal and nylon—which guarantee tuning stability.
Chrome-Plated Hardware
In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance gives a sense of the highest quality of materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and a calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum.
Snare Mechanism
Polmuz snares are equipped with a smoothly operating snare mechanism. The ability to adjust spring tension allows you to customize the tone depending on the situation.
Heads and Springs
The drums feature coated, 1-ply batter heads of high quality under the Polmuz brand. The springs used in Polmuz snares are proven components with 20 coils that work perfectly with almost any resonant head. Thanks to them, the snare generates a characteristic tone free of unwanted overtones. The distinctive red spring stripe is complemented by the traditional white Polmuz logo.

About the Brand
Polmuz is a legendary brand that produced Poland's first drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion accessories and wind instruments. The last drums were made in the late 1990s, after which the brand completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team at the specialist percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing the complete rights to its name.
Today Polmuz produces high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products of competitors. Bold design combined with proven solutions has allowed Polmuz to rapidly conquer not only the Polish percussion market but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
