FEATURES

100% walnut shells

The Walnut series shells are made from 7 layers of walnut with a total thickness of 5.4 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones ensure great versatility across many musical styles. Full, deep bass sound while maintaining focused and clear shell tone was achieved through the use of carefully selected layers.

Bearing Edges

The 45° bearing edge ensures optimal contact with the head. Each bearing edge on Polmuz drums has been carefully sanded and waxed, providing ideal head-to-shell contact. The result is clear tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on toms produce quick attack and short sustain, while rounded edges on bass drums generate unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The lacquered finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a distinctive look and exceptional sound. The lacquer used on Walnut series drums by Polmuz is of the highest quality. The stunning white color with black sparkle stripes will impress even the most demanding tastes. The lacquer composition and application method match those used in top sets from renowned brands.

Tube Lug

Tube Lug mounts are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug body "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each lug has a long screw that sits deep within it. Additionally, each features double protection with metal and nylon washers, guaranteeing tuning stability.

Chrome Hardware

All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome plating. Bass Drum Spurs

The spurs on Polmuz drum sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tunings.

Heads

The drums feature coated, single-ply heads of high quality bearing the Polmuz brand.

Bass drum heads additionally have a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads feature a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand that produced the first Polish drums, known to every percussionist. The company was established in the 1960s, with its factories located at 75/77 Grochowska Street in Warsaw. In addition to drums, Polmuz also produced percussion instruments and brass instruments. The last drums were manufactured in the late 1990s, after which they completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist percussion shop DrumStore from Gdańsk decided to revive the Polmuz brand by purchasing full rights to its name.

Today, Polmuz produces high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that are in no way inferior to the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions has made Polmuz rapidly gain ground not only on the Polish percussion market, but also win over those who cherish memories of their first Polmuz drums.
