Polmuz Walnut 22/10/12/16 Gloss Natural Walnut with Wood Inlay Stripe centered

The drums of the revived Polmuz brand bear no resemblance to their prototypes from the last century. Today, Polmuz stands above all for bold design combined with proven and solid technologies, known from the products of the best brands.

The walnut shells of this set provide complete freedom in shaping the sound, proving themselves in every music genre. The minimalist, old-school appearance of Polmuz drums draws from the brand's history and gives them a vintage character.

Groundbreaking, unconventional designs, high quality craftsmanship, and convincing sound mean that today the tradition of Polmuz is being reborn!

QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series from leading manufacturers, is treated individually, meaning there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the set. Each drum element undergoes meticulous inspection after unpacking and is examined with keen scrutiny by experienced technicians. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product, so all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth, and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we know well, a perfectly smooth edge brings joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing new heads, not to mention the ease of tuning and the perfect sound of the shell. Additionally, all drum hardware is checked, as there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly threading screws into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual set components receive a personalized sticker with a serial number, date, and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. If any defect or irregularity is detected, the shell is remade.

WARRANTY

Each Polmuz shell, after successfully passing the test, receives a lifetime warranty, and the hardware used in Polmuz drums receives a 3-year warranty.

FEATURES

100% walnut shells

The Walnut series shells are made from 7 layers of walnut with a total thickness of 5.4 mm. The highest priority when designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many music styles. Full, low-end tone combined with a focused and clear shell sound is achieved through carefully selected walnut layers, as well as attention to shell forming and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° bevel on the edges ensures they contact the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been carefully sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect contact between the head and shell. This results in clear tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on toms produce a quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on the bass drum generates a unique and warm vintage tone.

Finish

The lacquered finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique appearance and distinctive tone. The lacquer used on Walnut series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. The stunning clear lacquer will impress even the most discerning tastes. To highlight the uniqueness of this model, a decorative stripe has been applied around its entire circumference using the inlay method. The composition and application method of the lacquer matches that used on top-tier sets from recognized brands.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire assembly to resonate across the full range of tones. To minimize the risk of the drums going out of tune, each features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each has dual protection in the form of washers—metal and nylon—which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

In Polmuz drums, all hardware is finished with a chrome plating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials and breaks away from the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and calling card of the highest level of craftsmanship in every drum.

Mounting system

A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Furthermore, parts made from aluminum provide reduced weight.

Bass drum spurs

The spurs on Polmuz sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning.

Heads

The drums use coated, single-ply, high-quality bearing heads.

The resonant heads additionally feature a wide damping collar. Meanwhile, the resonant heads stand out with a characteristic vintage-style head featuring a distinctive Polmuz logo.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing the first Polish drums, known to every drummer. The company was founded in the 1960s, with facilities located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion instruments and brass instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 1990s, after which they disappeared completely from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialized percussion shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to revive the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz offers high-quality drum sets and ethnic instruments that rival the best products from the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions has allowed Polmuz to storm not only the Polish drum market but also capture the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
