QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM

Polmuz, like the highest series of leading manufacturers, is treated individually, which means there can be no question of any defects or irregularities in the set. Each drum component is carefully inspected after unpacking and checked with a meticulous eye. We strive for Polmuz to be remembered as a premium product; all shell edges must be perfectly straight and smooth and are additionally waxed to achieve an even richer sense of professionalism and comfort. As we well know, a perfectly smooth edge releases joy and happiness during the traditional ritual of running your hand along the edge before installing a new head, not to mention the ease of tuning the drum and the perfect shell sound. In addition, all drum hardware is checked because there is nothing more pleasant than smoothly screwing bolts into perfectly fitted lugs. After such thorough quality control, individual components of the set receive an individual sticker with a serial number, date and handwritten signature confirming the high quality of the drum. In case of any defects or irregularities, the shell is manufactured anew.

Features

100% walnut shells

The snare drum shells from the Walnut series are made from 7 layers of walnut with a total thickness of 5.4 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced midrange and high tones ensure great versatility across many music styles. Full, low-end sound while maintaining a focused and clean shell tone was achieved through the use of carefully selected walnut layers, as well as focus on shell formation and edge shape.

Edges

The 45° angle edge bevel ensures they make contact with the head at the optimal point. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result of this solution is clean sound across the full frequency range. The rounded edge on Polmuz snares generates fast attack, balanced resonance, and above all - unique, slightly vintage sound.

Finish

The lacquered finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used to finish the Walnut Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. The gorgeous, matte, colorless lacquer will impress even the most discerning tastes. To emphasize the uniqueness of this model, a decorative stripe has been applied around its entire circumference using the inlay method. The composition and method of applying the lacquer matches those used in top-tier sets from renowned brands.

Tube Lug

Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each lug has a long screw that sits deep within it. Additionally, each has double protection in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability.

Chrome hardware

All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful look conveys a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Snare Strainer

Polmuz snare drums are equipped with a smoothly operating strainer. The ability to adjust spring tension allows you to customize the sound depending on the situation.

Heads and Springs

The drums feature coated, 1-ply strike heads of high quality. The springs used in Polmuz snares are proven components with 20 coils that work perfectly with nearly any resonant head. Thanks to them, the snare generates characteristic sound without unwanted overtones. The distinctive red spring stripe has been enhanced with the traditional white Polmuz logo.

About the Brand

Polmuz - a legendary brand producing Poland's first drums, known to every percussionist. The company was founded in the 1960s, and its factories were located at Grochowska Street 75/77 in Warsaw. Besides drums, Polmuz also produced percussion accessories and wind instruments. The last drums were produced in the late 1990s, after which the brand completely disappeared from the market. In 2018, the team of the specialist drum shop DrumStore from Gdynia decided to reactivate the Polmuz brand by purchasing complete rights to its name.

Today Polmuz is a high-quality percussion set and ethnic instruments manufacturer, in no way inferior to the best products of the competition. Bold design combined with proven solutions has allowed Polmuz to storm not only the Polish percussion market, but also the hearts of those who remember their first Polmuz drums.
